A little bit about us…

Journey Psychology Center is a clinical psychology private practice located in beautiful Chicago. We work from a relational, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive framework with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Therapy and assessment are approached from a collaborative, dynamic, inclusive, and empowering stance that is rooted in the science of human development. Our team’s specialties range from complex and inter-generational trauma, racial and gender identity, attachment, parenting,

and play therapy, to couples and sex therapy, mind-body connection, life transitions, and the various psychological manifestations of life’s stress. Via growth-focused and supportive supervision, practicum students deepen dynamic theoretical and clinical knowledge and are exposed to a variety of supportive interventions, such as EMDR, ACT, EFT, PET, Brainspotting, Circle of Security, and child-centered play therapy including Sandplay, movement, and art.

Working with children and adolescents includes collaboration with parents via an attachment and trauma-informed approach.

At JPC, testing is approached with therapeutic intention much like therapy, and is enriched by collaborative/therapeutic assessment principles. In addition to administration, scoring, and interpretation of a comprehensive range of measures,

practicum students also hone their skills in integrating developmental and trauma considerations as well as theoretical conceptualization. As a team, we center collaboration, kindness, celebration of differences, social justice, and excellence in clinical practice.

We look forward to learning more about you!
